We are sad to report we have lost too many important pieces of Capac Basketball History
Ken Adamski, center, in the blue pull-over above, passed away on Friday, February, 15, 2013. Our heartfelt thoughts and prayers go out to his family. Ken will be fondly remembered by the tournament family and his own, wife Michele, daughter Katie Moore, and sons Tyler and Landen Adamski. Likewise, John Scheuer, a teammate of Ken's, passed away in the Spring of 2015. We keep John's family in our prayers as they mourn their loss. These two gentlemen were an important part of creating the legacy of Capac basketball. We miss having them at the tournament each year and hearing them share their favorite stories of their high school basketball experience.
On October 18, 2016, Harry's wife Mary Kay, joined him again. Mary Kay lost her long struggle with cancer and will be sorely missed by the tournament family. She thoroughly enjoyed recalling, and making new memories with all of the people who came to the tournament. Many new memories will be created this year and we know they will include stories about this marvelous woman.

Each year the Harry C. Moore Memorial Basketball Tournament Committee nominates deserving people for recognition. One of Coach Moore's players is recognized as a former player of honor. In addtion a community person from the host school is honored for their service to the school, students, and community. Finally, a Woman of Honor is acknowledged for what their efforts have contributed to high school sports in general and girls' sports in particular.
The Moore family is honored to have the people recognized for these awards become part of the Harry C. Moore Memorial Basketball Tournament family. The event truly is about family, friends, and memories.
